Mr. Clark had been a deputy police chief for the Town of Esopus; a deputy of the Ulster County Sheriff's Department; and a security guard for Benedictine Hospital. He had been a commercial fisherman on the Hudson from and for 30 years, he had been a salesman for Food Company in Hyde I Park. He was in the Boy for 35 years, achieving the rank of Eagle Gold Palm, member of Scottish Rite, York Right, Shriners, Cyprus Temple and Grand Lodge State of New York. He was master of Truine Lodge 782 in Poughkeepsie; master of Rondout Lodge of Kingston and master of Widow's Son Lodge of Livingston.
He was also a member of Moose. Lodge Port Ewen. He was not- a veteran but received an honorable citation in Nov. 1996 from President Clinton, Congressman Maurice. Hinchey and the VFW for outstanding performance of duty.
on the homefront during WWII. Born 'Aug. 4, 1916, in Port Ewen, he. was the son of the late Hugh and Emma Nack Clark. He married Mary Elizabeth "Bessie" Clark on Nov.
14, 1937. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Judy Iby of Leesburg, Fla, and Mary Beth Chiusano of Port Ewen; one son, James W. Clark of Olivebrige; two sisters, Rosa Fitzgerald of Kingston Theodora Sickler of Boulder, two brothers, Hugh Clark of Kingston and his twin brother, William Clark of Belleview, 17 grandchildren; 21 great -grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, George E. Clark, two sisters, Gladys Tomshaw and Anna Hartman, and two brothers, Walter and Paul Clark.

Mr. Pahlck resided in Hopewell Jet. for the past 47 years, prior to this, he lived in New Jersey. He was a self employed painter for 50 years. Mr.
Pahlck was a member of the Hopewell Reformed Church. He served in the United States Army in the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theaters during World War He is remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather and an exceptional person. Born. Nov. 6, 1924, in Union City, N.J., a son of Julius and Helen Raith Pahlck.
On Dec. 17, 1965, in Fishkill, he married Ann Lee, she survives at home. Besides his wife, other survivors include, four daughters, Linda Mackey, Highland, Sharon Pahlck, Doylestown, Donna O'Mara, Hudson, and Cathy Affronti, Esopus; a son, Timothy Pahlck, Pleasant Valley; three sisters, Mildred Herbrechter, Highland, Marie Farrell, Cape Coral, Ada Frye, Palakta, two brothers, Harold Pahlck, N.J., and his twin brother, Walter Pahlck, grandchildren, Abi, Tracey, John, Erin, Haley, Tyler, Keri, Cody (Kid); several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Francese was a retired Senior Systems Analyst with the N.Y.S. Department of Social Services in Albany, retiring in 1988. Born Oct. 31, 1929, in Wappingers Falls, he was the son of the late Nicholas A.
Francese and of Sarah (Trepepi) Francese of Wappingers Falls. In 1992, he married Rebecca Glaziner, who survives at home. in Chino. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by sons, Joseph Francese, Honolulu, HI, Thomas Francese, Denver, and Matthew Glaziner, Chino, daughters, Markham, SanFrancisco, Ann -Marie Anocibar, Ontario, Canada; three brothers, Vincent, Wappingers Falls, Nicholas Beacon, and Francis, Chelsea; one sister, Rose Horton, Wappingers Falls; ten grandchildren and numerous nephsews and nieces. Mr.
Francese was a life member of W.T. Garner Engine Wappingers Falls, and a New York State ViceCommander, American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, holding the rank of Master Sargeant as a Small Arms Expert. A Memorial Mass will be offered, Saturday, May 13,.

18, 2000, at the Washington Hospital Center after surgery for a heart ailment. Mrs. St. Lawrence, who was born in Beacon, moved to the Washington area in. the late 1930's.
She spent 41 years with a number of federal agencies, including a tour with what is now the Social Security Administration. She was a member of the sodality of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at Chevy Chase Circle and had done volunteer work for the Friendship Heights Village Center and the LisLouise Home in Chevy Chase. Her husband, Edmund died in 1980. Survivors include three daughters, Christine Vona of Hayden Lake, ID, Kathleen St. Lawrence of Chevy Chase and Patricia Bade of Laguna Niguel, and a sister, Jean Gib- ney.
Rebecca G. Stark CONN. Rebecca G. Stark, 83, of Piedmont Meriden, died Saturday, May 6, 2000 at Tandem Health Care in Southington, Conn. Born Nov.
20, 1916, in Smyrna Mills, ME, the daughter of the late Murchi and Eleanor Dyer Gordon, she spent most of her life in Wappingers Falls and Poughkeepsie, before making her home with her son Gordon in 1991. She retired from IBM in 1979 after fifteen years of service. She attended Yalesville United Methodist Church, Calendar and was also a member of House in Southington. She is survived by her son Gordon W. Green, Meriden, one sister, Rachael Mayer, New Hampshire; three grandsons, Thomas, Steven and Daniel Green; two nieces and four nephews.

Nicolis was a former employee of Western Printing; co-proprietor of Sam's Market on Main and Sam's Cottage Meats on Hooker all of Poughkeepsie. She retired in 1988. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Poughkeepsie and a member of the Italian Center Victory Lodge. Born in Poughkeepsie on Sept. 27, 1915, she was the daughter of Louis and Charlotte Pelligrino Greco.
She attended Poughkeepsie High School She married Sam A. Nicolis on Oct. 22, 1939 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Poughkeepsie. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Sam A. Nicolis, Poughkeepsie; three daughters, Charlotte Bida and her husband, Andrew, Albany; Mary Ann Scism, Rhinebeck; and Jean Trocino and 'her husband, Richard, Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Todd, Craig, and Aimee Bida; Michael, Tegan, and David Scism; Kelly J.
